Admission
The school practices selective admission which requires all enrollees to present an average 80% before given the application for entrance examination in any level.
Accepted age level are as follows:
PRE-SCHOOL:
Nursery - must be - 3 ½ or 4 years old.
Kinder - must be - 4 ½ or 5 years old.
Prep - must be - 5 ½ or 6 years old.
ELEMENTARY:
All Grade 1 applicants must have undergone Preparatory training. Enrollees without preschool training definitely will not be admitted.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Must present a certificate of good moral character, student report card (F-138) and F-137-B.
Requirements for New Student
1. Grades I to VI, 1st Year High School:
a. Must have a qualifying average of 80 % and above on the report card.
b. Must pass the entrance examination for the grade/year level.
c. Must have a grade in Character Education/Conduct of at least 80 % or its equivalent.
d. Must present a letter of recommendation from the Principal of the former school.
e. Must be a regular student (i.e. no back subjects) and
f. A repeater will not be admitted.
2. Grades V to VI, and 2nd Yr. High School:
a. Must have an academic average of at least 82 % with no grade lower than 80 % in English, Science and Math.
b. Must pass the entrance examination for the grade/year level.
c. Must present a letter of recommendation from the principal of the former school.
d. Must have a grade in character Education of at least 85% or equivalent ; and
e. Must be a regular student
Note: As a matter of policy, the school does not admit new students in the Fourth Year. However, the school may use its discretion
on this in every strict terms and condition. F-137 - B (Permanent Record) must be submitted upon enrollment. Students are temporarily
enrolled prior to the submission of the permanent record. Failure to submit such record after July, the student will be automatically
dropped off from the enrolment list.
Re-admission Of Old Students:
1. Must have a grade in Character Education/Conduct not lower
than C.
2. Must have taken the remedial summer classes in the academic
subjects where his/her grades were below 75 %.
3. Must have taken the subject and passed during summer the
subject/s where he/she lacks unit/s to be a regular student; Must
have taken the subject/s in which he/she failed during summer
where he obtained a grade not lower than 75 %.
Re-Admission of Student on Probation:
Student who is admitted on probation may be re-admitted on strict condition that he:
1. Shows an above average rating in the academics as well as in
Character Education/Conduct.
2. Be favorably recommended by the Committee on Academic
performance.
School Fees
A. Payments
Payments must be given on the following basis:
1. Full ( 5% discount ) on tuition fee
2. Semestral: (2 installments)1st installment (upon enrolment )
2nd installment (1st week of September)
3. Quarterly: Tuition fee every level is divided into 4 installments
to be paid on the following dates: 1st quarter ( upon enrolment)
2nd quarter (1st week of July) 3rd quarter ( 1st .week of October)
4th quarter (1st week of January).
4. Monthly: The First monthly payment is due upon enrolment.
All other monthly fees on the 1st week of every month.
Delayed payment is subject to a fine of P15.00 after 2 weeks.
B. Refund/Withdrawals
All installment fees are non- refundable. Tuition fees paid in full
can be refunded on the following rules:
P50.00 ( service charge ) before classes begin
70% - after classes have started
60% - One week after classes have started
50%- Two weeks after classes have started.
1. Fees not in connection with academic and other activities calendared
by the school such as special projects , sports uniform , program costumes.
Retreats fees , graduation fees, , scouting paraphernalia , etc. ,
are ordinarily made at the expenses of the students. However ,
other collections and/or contributions will not be made without the approval
of the administration.
2. All quarterly tuition fees should be paid not later than the first week
of January. Last monthly tuition fees must all be paid on the first
week of February.
3. When a parent enrolls his child/children in this school, it is
understood that:
a. He is acquainted with the school policies, rules and regulations
is agreeable and wiling too abide by them.
b. He is agreeable to pay the required fees and the other
requirements.
Student Services
Students services are essential supplement and tools for the realization of the objectives of this institution. Thus, NCLC provides:
1. Guidance Center – Provides the students efficient guidance counseling testing and referral services. This is programmed by the Guidance Coordinator in cooperation with the teacher counselor or class advisers and outside resource persons. All students should feel free to see the counselor. The purpose of this office is not to give the students corporal punishment , but to guide and correct the students pupils by executing the displinary measures stipulated in the guide.
2. Medical and dental Clinic – Provides services of health and sanitation which includes and diagnosis and necessary emergency treatments. A doctor, a nurse and a dentist are in- charge in attending to these services.
3. Library – Provides up – to date – educational materials, books and reference. All students are encourage to do supplementary reading and use the materials available and not just take or do their rules are posted in the library and enforced by the librarian who also takes charge in teaching students how to makes use of the materials. Violators of library rules will forfeit of his/her library privileges.
4. Laboratory – NCLC has adequately equipped laboratories for Chemistry, Biology and Physics, For a longer use, materials apparatus should be used properly and with extra care per teacher's instructions, A student will have to replace any equipment and apparatus damaged in the laboratory whether accidentally or intentionally.
5. Auditorium – This provides the students/pupils a place for general or common assembly, social gatherings and programs. Students should take care its furnishing and must maintain its cleanliness.
6. Audio- Visual Room ( AVR ) – This serves as an education media center where modern audiovisual instructional equipment and teaching materials are available. Only the teachers may handle or operate the instrument in the AV Room.
7. Computer Room – A very functional room for hands –on computer laboratories that will help the students attain a high level of proficiency in the field of BASIC Computer language , DOS, word processor and others. It will be integrated with Math for the Elementary level ( V – VI ) and other T. H. E and journalism for the High School level ( 1st to 4th year ). Students are liable for any damage done.
8. School Supplies and Book room – Textbooks and school supplies are available for the students at a current price. Purchase should be made at the scheduled time.
9. Athletic and Recreation Facilities – The Students are provided with P. E. sports equipment. In addition, a television set and indoor athletic equipments are installed at the recreation rooms. The students should take care of these facilities as these are intended for their use.
10. School Canteen – This service is provided to keep the students within the school premises during recess time. It's main concern is fair price sanitation. Purchases should be made at proper time namely: recess and lunch breaks. Students /pupils should eat at the canteen area only. Canteen paraphernalia should not be taken out of the canteen.
11. School Guard Post- One of the important concerns of the school is the security of the students while in the school premises. The guard's main duty is to prevent unwanted elements or intruders from entering the campus. Therefore, he is responsible for the safety of all properties and persons within the compound.
12. School Publishing Department – Responsible for the printing of the NCLC organ and Gazette. The school has TAGSIBOL as the official Elementary & High School Gazette. It is composed of students editors recommended by the teachers in Communication Arts. ( English And Filipino ) The Principal approves the recommendations made and assigns a moderator from among these teachers. The Criteria set by the school and the DepED should be observed.
13. Locker Room – The school provides locker in every classroom for students who want to avail extra place for their books, P.E uniforms and other school paraphernalia. Locker is for rent and renewable after each school year of use. All lockers must be vacated on the last day of the school year. The pupils /students provide their own keys and padlocks.
14. Co- curricular: Clubs, Intramural, Inter-School Meets, Social Actions, Field Trips, Retreats and Seminars- These are activities encouraged and calendared by the school for their education, spiritual and social values: to provide the students practical application of classroom learning, to acquire the spirit of positive competition, sportsmanship, camaraderie and closer relationships with God and with others.
15. Church and Community – Involvement /participation in the life and activities of the church and the larger community is highly encouraged in order to promote the missionary spirit among the students. Students are advise to attend the Sunday School, Worship Services, & other church services for spiritual growth . Attendance to Chapel Hour is required to every students regardless of his/her church affiliations.
16. Dormitory – Students who decides to stay are subjected to the following rules:
1.Board and logging fees: must be paid promptly ( one month Advance )
2. Curfew Hours at 10: 00 P.M.
3. Scheduled cleaning and maintenance of dorms /comfort rooms by the boarder
4. Dorm fees must be paid one month advance. Unsettled dormitory accounts of more than two
months will forfeit the students privilege to stay in the dorm.
5. Display of good behavior and relationship with other co-boarder is a rule to be observed.
