Study Policies
1. NCLC follows the curriculum mandated by the Department of
Education in Elementary and Secondary curriculum. Character
Education/good Manners and right Conduct ( CE/GMRC are based
on the pupils test score and the results of observations. Since this
is a Christian school 50% of CE/GMRC grade will be taken from
theology subject and performances during their chapel hours.
( High School only ). Using the list of objectives based on DepEd Order
No. 6, S. 1988.
2. Enrollees in NCLC are presumed to desire not only for academic
excellence but also a true Christian Character. Hence, full
participation in the activities for Christian values formation and
practice of conduct benefitting Christians are necessary.
3. Chapel hour is apart of the Religious Education and guidance
programs. Therefore, attendance is a must.
4. The grading system followed is averaging for the Elementary and
High School. The required average for passing is 75%.
5. As a rule, students who fail in more than 3 units are automatically
retained; likewise , those who fail in one or two Minor subjects must
take the same in summer immediately following the school year
when failures are incurred.
6. There are four grading periods in a school year. The rating in a
subject per grading period is based on DepEd Order No. 80, 1993.
7. In case of absence in a periodical test due to illness or to some
other serious reasons , the parent or guardians must notify the
other adviser or the Principal immediately . Failure to do this within
three days after the test will merit a failing test mark of 70 % for the
period. A medical certificate must be presented in case of illness.
8. All students are required to qualify for the examination on week
before the scheduled test. Failure to do so will subject them to
penalty if the exam permit is acted upon on the day of the
examination. No more promissory will be honored .If a student fails
to qualify on time , he will not be allowed to take the Tests. Any
students who loses his examination permit is required to presents
an affidavit of loss before another permit will be issued to him/her.
Every students with examination permit will be allowed to enter the
examination room. Lost permit is replaced with a charge of P50.00
9. A special schedule is observed during periodical examination days.
Students are allowed to go home after the test. No extra curricular
activities are allowed during the week preceding the examinations.
(Provided it is needed for any program ).
10. Proper instruction is given on daily quizzes and periodical examinations.
All actions that may be interpreted as cheating must be avoided.
Disciplinary action enforced at the discretion of the principal.
Proven deliberate cheating shall be punished by zero score and a grade
of D in conduct.
